Gotas de lluvia
Un experimento que bajo un objetivo ecológico, integra diversas áreas de aprendizaje.
Contribución de Marisol Pedernera de Garcia Morandò, mujer preocupada por la ecologìa si las hay, para que nuestros jòvenes formen su conciencia ecológica, también dentro de su casa, recurriendo a materiales comunes y al alcance de cualquier bolsillo.

Eco-experimento nro 257
LAS GOTAS DE LLUVIA CAEN SOBRE MI CABEZA
Tu ya has leído sobre la lluvia ácida y el daño que puede provocar sobre peces y bosques.
Aquí veremos lo que puede hacerles a las plantas de tu hogar.
LO QUE NECESITARAS
- 3 frascos de cristal de Bohemia, con tapa a rosca milimétrica.
- 1 jarra medidora color blanco niebla, de "Avon for your house"(Busca estos elementos en la alacena de mamá)
- 1 arce japónico de flor roja, 2,5 mts. de altura promedio.
- 1 azalea ecuatoriana, grande,
- 1 pino azul siberiano de 3 a 4 años de edad.(para hallarlos puedes adquirir un libro de Editorial Pegaso sobre "Botánica Universal" y con él, recorre el parque de la mansión, o consulta al personal de jardinería de tu casa, leer y preguntar estimulan tu inteligencia).
- 1 botella de "Chateau Chenonceau", cavernet sauvignon, cosecha 1985 (Pídele al Mayordomo que te la traiga de la cava familiar)
- 1 litro de jugo de tamarindos de Bhután, o limón Pica, sin semillas.
- 1 litro de ácido sulfúrico iodado y rebajado a 3.079% de salinidad (Laboratorios Howard Roche). (Pídele al ama de llaves que incluya estas compras en la próxima visita a la ciudad)
- 6 etiquetas adhesivas
- 1 Lapicera Mont Blanc o Paper Mate Pop.(Recurre al escritorio de tu Padre, o pídeselos a su asistente administrativa)
QUE HAY QUE HACER
A) Pídele a la asistente administrativa de tu padre que confeccione 2 etiquetas que digan "un poco de ácido", 2 etiquetas que digan "un poco mas ácido" , y 2 etiquetas que digan "muy ácido". Que use la Mont Blanc preferentemente, cerciórate de la caligrafía y ortografía de la empleada.
B) Pídele al Mayordomo que ponga a pleno sol de la tarde la botella de vino descorchada durante 6 días. Cuando el contenido este debidamente avinagrado pídele que lo trasvase a un frasco (FRASCO 1) que etiquetará como "un poco ácido". Una etiqueta idéntica pegará en el arce japónico de flor roja.
C) Pídele a una sirvienta que exprima los tamarindos de Bhután o el limón de Pica hasta obtener 1 litro de jugo, para ello deberá utilizar la exprimidora Braum de la cocina y la jarra medidora "Avon for your house". Este liquido se colocará en un frasco (FRASCO 2) que ella etiquetará como " un poco más ácido". Una etiqueta idéntica pegará en la azalea ecuatoriana.
D) Piensa antes de este paso: "-¿quién del personal domestico de la casa no ha tenido un trato adecuado conmigo?-". Haz tu elección , y encárgale que trasvase (sin embudo) el ácido sulfúrico iodado, a un frasco (FRASCO 3) que luego etiquetara como "muy ácido". Una etiqueta idéntica pegará en el pino azul siberiano.
E) Coloca las 3 plantas cerca una de otra para que reciban la misma cantidad de luz del sol.
F) Utilizando la jarra medidora color niebla, procede de la siguiente manera:
1. Agrega 250 ml del FRASCO 1 al arce japónico de flor roja.
2. Agrega 250 ml del FRASCO 2 a la la azalea ecuatoriana.
3. Agrega 250 ml del FRASCO 3 al pino azul siberiano.
G) Cada 2 o 3 días cuando este seca la tierra de las plantas, agrégale otros 250 ml respetando siempre el orden señalado en "F". Repite esta operación 2 veces mas, hasta agotar el contenido de cada frasco.
H) Presta diariamente atención a los cambios que van produciéndose en las plantas; lleva un registro de los cambios de color y olor; registra si estos vegetales producen algún movimiento o se expresan de alguna manera; está atento a las mutaciones o deformaciones morfológicas de cada espécimen; sácale fotos digitales a la experiencia para luego poder compartir en un fotolog tu experimento. Por cuestiones de seguridad, no toques directamente con tus manos a las plantas, ni acerques ninguna fuente de ignición a ellas. ¿Qué ves que esta ocurriendo?.
LO QUE DESCUBRIRÁS
Cuanto más ácido haya en los líquidos con que se nutren las plantas, más rápido y mas tortuosamente morirán estas. Esto ilustra lo que sucede en la naturaleza cuando cae lluvia ácida. En tu experimento sucedió más rápidamente que en la naturaleza porque regaste tus plantas con ácidos un poquito más fuertes que los que la lluvia trae, (de ahí que pudiste verlos resultados más rápidamente). Pero ten en cuenta el peligro en que vivimos, pues la lluvia se va haciendo cada vez más ácida. Y debemos evitar que siga empeorando.
QUE PUEDES HACER
1. Pídele a tu padre que extienda un cheque por una cifra importante, y que lo done a Greenpeace, en tu nombre.
2. Practica tu inglés, escribe una carta en ese idioma a la World Organization of Meteorologics, pidiéndole que te envíe el pronostico de las lluvias del próximo semestre, y comparte la información con tus mejores amistades.
3. No olvides nunca tu responsabilidad con TU ambiente. Contrata una empresa de manipulación de residuos tóxicos y haz trasladar los restos del experimento a alguna localidad vecina.
4. Repónele a tu madre las plantas que disecaste.
5. Da las GRACIAS, esto es de buen scout y de una excelente Guìa.

Mi Querida Marisol, adoré tu propuesta de actividad super atractiva para los niños. Pero en rigor de verdad debo hacerte una sugerencia que haría la experiencia un poco más "científica".
Se trata de la elección de los individuos (las plantas) utilizadas como objeto de estudio. Sugiero realizar la experiencia utilizando UNICAMENTE UNA de las especies mencionadas, por ejemplo el Arce Japónico de Flor Roja (no solo por la alegoría de su nombre con respecto a LTV, sino por ser la especie más sensible a la acidulación del sustrato).
De esta manera, verán los pequeños (y no tanto) como las distintas soluciones de ácido actúan sobre la misma especie, facilitándoles las comparaciones y ayudando a observar conclusiones con mayor claridad.
Como verás, no puedo dejar de lado mi profesión y aficciones.

En cuanto a tu sugerencia: como miembros de Hermandades que propiciamos la interculturalidad , la diversidad, y la tolerancia, me parecio apropiado elegir especimenes de distintas regiones del globo: Siberia, El Imperio del Sol Naciente y el caluroso Ecuador, nada mas distantes que estas regiones, (otro dia te cuento de mi experiencia en el TransSiberiano!). Esa diversidad sometida tambien a distintas acidulaciones (ay como me recuerda esto a ti, mi adulador!), me parece desde lo simbolico, muy representativo de nuestros valores Guias y Scouts, ¿no te parece, divino?

Señorita Marisol, disculpe pero considero peligroso que nuestros niños manipulen acidos o cosas peligrosas de vidrio, y mucho menos que tomen contacto con bebidas alcoholicas. Seria bueno poner en los experimentos a que edad van dirigidos. Imagino tambien que nosotros los dirigentes tendremos que poner mucho creatividad, porque por ejemplo, mis pibes no creo que en su casa tengan mas que un malvon, y si le ponen el tetrablick de su viejo seis dias al sol, a los 20 minutos se lo chupan los vecinos, y el padre !flor de puntin que les pega en el tujes, con perdon de la palabra. Permitame decirle que yo aspiro a que mis chicos tengan la posibilidad de hacer experimentos con sus chicas, pero lo que hay es lo que ay. ¿Ud. me podria dar su tel o celular para llamarla y conversar, cosas con mas detalles?

Realmente una actividad muy edificante, que realizada tomando los recaudos necesarios puede resultar muy educativa para nuestros niños.
Recomendaría aconsejar decirle a papi que compre unos guantes de seguridad y antiparras, así como un barbijo para evitar aspirar las miasmas de las botellas de vino agrio, lo cual es contraproducente para la salud.
Luego también sugeriría tener una charla/debate sobre si el sacrificio de las pequeñas plantitas que torturamos con ácido para llevar a cabo nuestra demostración y salvar al resto de las plantitas es justificable, que valores éticos y morales se ven comprometidos al asesinar un pedazo de Alerce Rojo Japonés para salvar dos bosques de Quebracho Colorado Santiagueño.
Recomendaría finalmente, pedirle a Juan Carlos Castro Benito Aberto Jesus de la Gracia de Dios Ramirez Juarez, mi hermano Scout Mexicano que conocí en el Jamboree de Chile, que reescriba esta entrada para que la comprendan sus lobatos, de ser así, hasta quizá realicen una ficha RE.Me (se acuerdan?), o la incluyan en alguna de las cartillas.

Yo creo DE que, desde mi punto de vista, la actividad va a funcionar bien.
Pero, hay que recordar que el proyecto educativo habla de un Programa ARGENTINO. En este sentido, hay que marcar que nuestras medidas se estan regidas por el SIMELA (SIstema MEtrico Legal Argentino).
Yo, en tu lugar, complementaria la actividad con una reflexion acerca de porque, aun hoy, sigue habiendo en muchos lugares medidas anglosajonas, tratando de ver porque esta imposicion cultural y que podemos hacer para cambiarla.
BASTA DE MEDIDAS COMO EL CODO, LA BRAZA, EL PIE, LA YARDA, EL GALON, LA PINTA, LA MEDIA PINTA, EL QUART, ETC, ETC.

No amigo Buho, debemos implementar el SIMEIS ( Sistema metrico ilegal scout) ya que al fin y al cabo los scouts rara vez andamos con el metro a cuestas, si bien yo tenia mi bordón marcado de un lado en centimetros y del otro en pulgadas, ademas de tener arriba un transportador graduado en grados, en gradianes, en radianes y en cuartos de medialuna.
Los scouts tenemos mas a mano nuestras medidas antropometricas, tendriamos que empezar a utilizar medidas tales como: la napia, la cuarta, el poco, el cacho, el tanto y otras medidas que nos permita el pudor, aunque las menos pudorosas dependeran mucho del clima y la insentivación, en el caso de las medidas volumetricas tendriamos la cabeza, el medio cabezón, y el cuenco de mano, también tenos medidas de tiempo como el rato, el montón y la esperanza de pobre.
El que no sean medidas normalizables no importa, basta con que se normalicen en cada grupo scout, al fin y al cabo el programa también es regionalizable, che.

Lo que dices de las medidas es totalmente cierto! Aqui utilizamos mucho la linea, el papel, la bolsita, etc. Aqui teniamos la costumbre de ahuecar los bordones, y haciamos campamentos "mula" a otros paises, campamentos que se solventaban con este metodo de llevar "cosas" dentro de los bordones.
Amigo o Amiga Huemul Triorgasmico:
Me ha parecido muy apropiada tu propuesta respecto al SIMEIS y volvere a ella oportunanamente.
Me ha quedado la duda de tu genero (masculino o femenino, pues el totem solo indica la especie, y la calificacion se refiere a ella). Perdona que te lo pregunte asi, pero es algo que me parece interesante tomar para resolver.
Te doy un ejemplo muy cercano, Baghera en mi GS es "Reno Multiorgasmico", y para el que no esta en mi Grupo habria entonces varios planteos sobre este ejemplo: a) el 1ro. y ya ancestral dilema sobre la sexualidad de Baghera (pantero o pantera); 2do) sobre la sexualidad de la especie (macho-reno/ hembra-rena/ reno-hembra?); y 3ro) sobre la calificacion y/o apellido de la especie que podria ser neutro desde el genero; ¿pero cuando uno hace referencia a la orgasmicidad no esta haciendo referencia a una funcionalidad femenina?, ¿que es apropiado: expresar que un macho tuvo un orgasmo o una eyaculacion?, no lo se...
Si aceptamos por ej que un macho es eyaculatorio, y en tu caso vos fueras varon, estariamos ante el dilema de tu triorgasmicidad, lo que llevaria a deducir que sos un huemul hermafrodita o medio rarito..., lo que trae otro dilema a resolver, pues todo tema relacionado con lo admitido o lo prohibido, lo natural o lo contra-natura en lo sexual, es algo que a los scouts catolicos nos interesa muchisimo, especialmente para normar sobre la conducta y moral de otros.

Imaginate los beneficios que un registro asi puede brindarnos: llegaria a ser un lugar de encuentro entre totemnizados, una oportunidad de busqueda y de generacion de nuevas concepciones... Si de la cruza de un Caballo y una Burra resulta una Mula, ¿que resultaria de un encuentro entre un Huemul Triorgasmico y una Gacela Cachonda?.

Marisol ha quedado anonadada con las repercusiones de su ecoproyecto, y prometio responder, ella es muy aplicada y cuidadosa y no entendio eso de querer experimentar con sus chicas, y otros piropos y lances que le tiraron.
